DeviantArt has changed so much in that time. I won't even pretend like I'm aware of all the changes - as you can see by my empty profile here, I spend more time browsing than participating. I still come for a visit nearly every day, though the reasons have changed over the years.

Five years ago I was browsing for inspiration - looking at all the pretty pictures, wishing I could make something like that.

Three years ago I tried the whole "being active in the community" thing - groups, forum postings, etc - but I'm not social enough to enjoy that for extended periods of time.

A year ago I deleted all my old journal entries barring the very first, as my space here had taken a decidedly bloggish turn.

Today I'm usually checking out the Miranda or Windowblinds skins instead of the photography. When I get the urge for something pretty, I go play in Photoshop or grab my camera. My photos usually go on flickr unless it's something really special to me; the random photoshop scribblings sometimes make it Imageshack but more often to the Circular File. It's not exciting or glamorous, but it works for me.

My join date caught my eye tonight while I doing a periodic clean up -n- shuffle with my profile. So.. yeah. I'm still around, still watching, still learning.
